Why is the delivery window period so late for items on Special Order?

Special order stocks require a longer lead time of 1 week because we do not currently hold the inventory. Nonetheless, we would like our valued customer to have the ability to attain the item and hence will make a special order with our supplier. We seek your kind understanding on the later window period for this reason.
